What is the Bail Bond?

There are two types of Bail Bonds
Criminal and Civil Bail Bond – The first one is used in criminal cases. It guarantees that a defendant appear for trial when called upon by the court and guarantees payment for any fines or penalties that are decided against the defendant. While the second one is generally used in civil cases and guarantee the payment of the debt. Also, interest and costs, assessed against the defendant.
What needs to be done if bonded out of jail and wants to leave the state?
You will need to get written permission from the bonding office, before leaving the state. You will also want to check to make sure that you are not court ordered to stay in state. You will also need to get approval from the court. You may be subject to arrest if you leave the state without permission.
Can Collateral be used for a Bond?
Bail bonds offices are different and have their own requirements. Here are a few examples of collateral that many offices will accept Real estate, Credit Cards, Personal credit, Jewellery, Bank accounts etc.
